Naturopathic Physician / Acupuncturist

Matthew Burnett, ND, LAc

Provider Image Bio:

Matthew Burnett earned his undergraduate degree from George Washington University with a major in music.  Along with his study of Tai Chi, which began in 1989, he was drawn to natural medicine following a number of personal medical experiences.

Dr. Burnett earned his doctorate in naturopathic medicine and master's of science in acupuncture at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington.  He completed  his residency in Utah, certified by the Council on Naturopathic Medical Education and sponsored by National College of Naturopathic Medicine.  He has since opened a private practice, Utah Natural Medicine.

As a naturopathic family practice doctor, Dr. Burnett enjoys combining up-to-date, evidence-based science with age-old medicine, and treats a wide spectrum of acute and chronic conditions.  He also has an added focus in pediatrics, pain management, detoxification, including heavy metal chelation, and intravenous (IV) therapies.  His interest in pediatrics stems from a belief that important building blocks for health begin in childhood.  He has specialized training in pain management with mesotherapy and has helped train other physicians in Paris through the French Society of Mesotherapy.  He obtained his NADA (National Acupuncture Detoxification Association) certification at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx and helps many patients through various regimens including heavy metal detoxification, smoking cessation, substance abuse withdrawal, and weight loss.

He is a member of the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians and serves as the President of the Utah Association of Naturopathic Physicians.
